Maybe you didn't notice, but I put all my bandcamp's album on Free Download recently.

The new "payment system" (Stripe) won't work with me, not for the 4 to 5 albums a year I sell on it. Paypal, with all its flaws worked quite well for me and I don't want to change for Stripe. Also I don't care if I make money on my music, I put all my productions in "Name your price" for folks to have the albums in their collection, and put one album per Bandcamp with a minimum price to allow same folks to buy the full discography for cheap. But it ends now.

I don't know the future of the platform, but I'm not really optimistic, at least about my future on the platform. So I made backup of all my albums, and start thinking about hosting all of them here, on a place where I have full control.

I will lose some of the people who follows me and listen to all my work - I thank you a lot for that by the way, and the "promotion" would be more difficult to make, but I'm not sure I'd have a choice in a near future and even though, getting out is something I think about for a long time. And all of the con listed here are the sacrifice for not being locked-in.

Of course the releases on Bandcamp will stay where they are, but it's probable I won't publish anything here, sooner or later.

Anyway, thanks for reading my little rant, thanks for following me, and most of all thanks for listening my work, it means everything to me.

About a week ago, the Harsh Noise Wall generator I worked on since at least a year was good enough in my opinion to get release to the public

It have some cool features (at least I think so), to hear one example, the last Torpeur album was made with it

It's still a work in progress, some things will not work on your machine, and some bug will eventually appear. I can help you if anything got wrong, of course, but I do not guarantee anything, this software come as is.

Edit 2 : The HNW Generator is now alive

This article is in french, sorry for that, but it is easier for me to argue something in french.

L'absence de concept de III est un choix réfléchi, et pas une simple fainéantise intellectuelle, d'autant que certains diront à raison que l'absence de concept est un concept en soi.

Dans le milieu du HNW, je vois bien que les concept occupent une place importante, une bouillie sonore qui peut servir de support pour un message quelconque.
C'est une bonne chose, ça permet de contextualiser l'écoute, le ressenti de l'auditeur changera beaucoup selon le message véhiculé par le titre.

Concernant III, comme dit précédemment, l'absence de concept et de contexte est volontaire. Je trouve, sans être péjoratif, que le HNW est un courant artistique assez absurde. Après tout, nous ne faisons que méditer sur une texture sonore qui sonne comme une télé hertzienne en fin de vie qui tente désespérément de capter une chaîne.
C'est pour souligner cette absurdité que III n'a pas besoin de concept. Vous en faites ce que vous voulez, ça peut représenter l'atrocité d'une guerre ou des enfants qui se roulent dans l'herbe, la parole de Dieu ou encore le vide spatial, tout et son contraire est possible.
Ne pas imposer de contexte, c'est permettre à l'auditeur de se le forger lui-même, chacun verra dans un morceau de III autre chose que ce que moi j'ai vu en le créant.
III, c'est du bruit, ce n'est rien d'autre, et ça n'a aucune prétention de devenir plus.

Certains diront que j'intellectualise trop et c'est vrai, c'est une belle branlette de cerveau que je publie ici, mais c'était au moins intéressant pour moi de faire cette réflexion.
